A. Objective
1. Create an online art work that uses virtual world and gaming
concepts within its larger structure.
2. Use ideas inspired by our class discussions and observations about
various gaming structures: platform, adventure, sport, role playing, shooter
and arcade.
3. Think about the the type of user participation you are suggesting with
your project: competitive, constructive, and collaborative. Be prepared
to explain what type of interactivity you are exploring in your "gaming"
art work.
4. Think about how your chosen gaming concept is used in a creative way.
DO NOT CREATE A "STRAIGHT" NON ARTWORK GAME. Use gaming concepts
as a STARTING POINT to create a "CREATIVE" artwork.
5. Refer to the artist examples we looked at in class, as well as the
current Marco
Brambillo "Halflife" show at the New Museum about the first
person shooter game"Counter-Strike."
B. Technical Requirements
1. Create 3-5 hyper linked web pages.
2. Delivery must be online, yet you can use any softwares/language. Upload
all files to your server space
C. Aesthetic Requirements
1. Create a project that is both a creative artwork and a game.
2. If you like, play with the "aesthetics" of 3-D worlds often
presented in arcade games and console games, i.e. PlayStation2 and/or
GameCube.

ideas.
